Sergey Mikhailovich Brin (Russian: Сергей Михайлович Брин; born August 21, 1973) is an American enterprise magnate, laptop scientist, and web entrepreneur, who co-founded Google with Larry Page. He and Page remain at Alphabet as co-founders, controlling shareholders, board members, and employees. As of November 2022, Brin is the twelfth-richest person on this planet, with an estimated web worth of $78.Zero billion. Brin immigrated to the United States together with his household from the Soviet Union on the age of six. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps by learning mathematics, in addition to computer science. After graduation, he enrolled in Stanford University to amass a PhD in laptop science. There he met Page, with whom he built an internet search engine. This system became widespread at Stanford, and they suspended their PhD studies to start up Google in Susan Wojcicki's garage in Menlo Park.
